SISCOweb: Cruise Control for Surface Irrigation Part 3: Practical Applications and Cost

In Part 3 Joseph Foley and Malcolm Gillies discuss how SISCOweb could be used on farm. It is not practical to monitor every field, especially on larger farms, but the sensors could be installed in the first part of an irrigation unit, to monitor irrigation performance. Using the optimisation of the first part of the irrigation unit growers can adjust run times and cut off times for the remainder of the irrigation unit.
