John Hornbuckle from Deakin University talks about the Smarter Irrigation project; New technology integrated smart sensing and automation for cotton at the CottonInfo southern NSW cotton research update. This is one of the projects looking to optimise irrigation efficiency through automation. Optimal sensing and forecasting systems linked to automated irrigation systems will enable irrigators to maximise productivity of their water.
